Make sure to choose colors for areas like the master bathroom, guest bathroom, kids’ rooms, guest room, living room and laundry room too. If you plan to store some things, pick a separate color just for those boxes.
- As you pack, keep enough of each color of tape nearby. You don’t want to stop in the middle of packing just to go buy more. Also, using the wrong color because you ran out can make things very confusing when it’s time to unpack!

- Place tape on more than one side of each box. It can be annoying for movers to turn every box just to find the tape. To make things easier, stick a piece of tape on all sides. Just make sure the pieces are big enough so the color is easy to see.
